This little top officially ends my "I-don't-like-sewing-knits" period. All it took was for me to learn more about knits by sewing lots and lots of t-shirts. I learned about different types of knits and I learned I like sewing some types more than others. For instance, this knit was easy to handle, but I doubt if it has even one natural fiber in it. It doesn't breathe at all. So, if I'm careful about the knits I choose, sewing knit garments will be as enjoyable as sewing wovens.
Nice nice nice! I agree, the kind of knit makes all the difference. I also like how you take pix with your doll. :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE SEWING KNITS and as long as I use the right needle I have narry a problem at all. That's a great top/fit on you. I also love easy projects that yield great results.
ReplyDeleteYou did exactly what I am doing now. My resewlution for 2013 is to get comfortable with sewing knits, glad to see I am not the only one. I am finishing my 8th knit top of the year today.
ReplyDeleteNice little top. Thanks for reminding me of this pattern!
ReplyDeleteNice top. I have to trace this one off. The more you sew knits the easier it gets.
ReplyDeleteThat is a nice top. Good to hear it is a easy sew. I will have to dig out that issue of the Burda magazine
ReplyDeleteHi Elaray. Thanks for your comment. Yes, the lounges are fun. I was hoping to sew, but they needed all volunteers on board--which I didn't mind at all. :-). They are nice: no drama, everyone there for a common cause and most recently, they've returned back to it's roots: community projects. BTW: Nice top and color. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love your top. Your post encourages me to learn how to sew knits.
