I need a "Ladies Who Lunch" outfit. I'm on my church's scholarship committee and our Annual Scholarship Luncheon is in June. I selected this Kwik Sew pattern to use with the fabric I ordered from Vogue Fabrics-by-Mail. Last year, the luncheon was held in the middle of a record-breaking heatwave. It was over 95ยบ and just walking from the car was uncomfortable and exhausting. I'm hoping the weather will be more reasonable this year. When I ordered the fabric from Vogue's swatch club, I didn't have a specific occasion in mind. But then I learned the Scholarship Committee's official colors are green and blue, and I realized the fabric would be perfect. (
Do all church organizations have official colors?) I really love this fabric. This pattern, like most Kwik Sew patterns, is simple and presents no surprises. I'm looking forward to an uneventful and relaxing sewing process.
The fabric is beautiful and needs a pattern that is simple to show it off. Good marriage.
ReplyDeleteI love that fabric. Funny, it's not a print I ever would have thought I'd like, but it's really pretty and as gwensews said, you've chosen a perfect pattern to show it off. You'll be able to dress this outfit up and down and I think you'll get loads of wear from it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fabric.
ReplyDeleteThis is very pretty fabric and I think it will be perfect not only for the pattern you've chosen, but for the occasion as well. None of our church committees have color themes unless there is a color theme for decorating an event - well, at least as far as I know!
ReplyDeleteElaray, I saw this pattern when I first started blogging. It's nice and I love your fabric.
ReplyDeleteThat's so good that you and a co-worker are going to take a quilting class. Please keep us posted! Glad that the article was timely. Take care!
That should make a lovely official church colored ensemble!
ReplyDeleteLovely outfit for your upcoming church scholarship luncheon.
