Next: BWOF 03-08 #126 Pants & #127 Blouse

According to what I've read on the message boards, some people love to see the BWOF previews when they are posted on Burda Fashion and others prefer to wait for the magazine to arrive. I was in the "preview" camp until I saw this blouse. (I'm a person who reads the last chapter of a book before I actually get to it.) The online picture didn't do it justice. I liked it when I saw the preview, but when I saw it in the magazine, and I could get a closer look, I discovered how much I really liked it. And the pants also have a detail that is hardly visible in the either the online or the magazine photo. The front seam is satin stitched to look like piping. I had to read the instructions to learn about that little surprise! The pants, although rated 2 1/2 dots, are going to be a challenge. There are two welt pockets in the back. I've done welt pockets successfully, but they still intimidate me. Also, I'm trying a new pattern adjustment to give me a little more room in the thigh area. Hopefully, I'm not taking on too much with these pants.

  1. Elaray, I'll be watching these closely as I, too, have been interested in these two patterns. I will not be putting welt pockets on the pants though...I need NO details on my J-Lo rear LOL
    Good Luck...Tina

  2. BWOF sometimes is a surprise. I love looking at the linedrawings too. And now you found something special by reading the instructions! And that for BWOF, whose instructions are always said to be so sparse. Looking forward to your garments, the patterns are very promising.

  3. Oh, Elaray, I love that blouse. Unfortunately, I don't think my Burda magazines go back further than 2004. Darn. Can't wait to see it made up.

  4. That's what I love about BWOF -- there's always some new detail that you have yet to discover. And you know what I don't like about BWOF? That the smallest size in the plus patterns is a 44, because I'd usually quite like to make them. That looks like it'd be a nice outfit.
